I was using Parted Magic through Unetbootin and found it to be much more usable and faster than any version of Ubuntu that I have used. The desktop was extremely simple and straight to the point and all the programs it came with were very useful. I was wondering if there existed a full fledged desktop version of Linux that resembled this OS that I could actually use on a day to day basis.

Hm well I guess what I would want in a desktop version would be a package manager or something like Ubuntu has but with the same style interface that Parted Magic has. I think I read that Parted Magic is based off of Slackware or something? Maybe I would be better off trying LXDE with Ubuntu.
