hi
we are four friends and we have four different model laptops"e.g. hp 6710b, hp 6730b". we are bored using windows operating system so want to change to ubuntu. after installing i will install some needed applications on ubuntu and will also do some configuration. i want to make a image of this and promote to other friends, but i don't want to install the needed application and configuration again and again.
is there any way to make the full clone image?
if yes than will it run on other model laptop and how?
and how can i solve the drivers issue.

(Sorry for my english)

plz help me with it:confused:

Thanks

Second question first; As a rule Linux handles plug and play very well, so as long as the hardware in the various laptops is supported, then you shouldn't have any trouble moving the image from laptop to laptop.

Norton Ghost, if you want a commercial product.
g4l is a free download.
There's another one that's quite popular in the Linux community but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called.

Just type "drive cloning" or "drive imaging" into your favorite search engine and you should find more than enough options.

Thank you. My feeble mind went blank for a bit.
