Fresh Installation boots to GRUB HELP!!

Hey Ubuntu Community,

Ive installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop and am dual-booting Windows XP Pro. So when i choose the Ubuntu option when booting it goes directly to the GRUB command line.

I cant get Ubuntu to boot at all.

Please Help!!

Hi,
use the Ubuntu CD to boot the laptop choosing to try not install.

Click on the link at the bottom of my post and follow the instructions there.

Post the results back here and we will see what can be done to help you resolve this issue.
