As far as security go's is linux more security minded then windows and do you think that windows have a better security outlook then linux.

Viruses just aren't written for Linux. Linux is way more secure. the other reason is that the population of Linux is way smaller than Windows.

And third party applications aren't very functional in Linux, so the ones you will mainly use are for development and from the Software Center.

Linux also doesn't allow programs to modify other programs without permission. That and Linux doesn't open unnecessary ports like windows. There have been one or two viruses for Linux in the past, but they only affected a specific distro, and I think they all got patches.

Not particularly. Someone who doesn't exercise computer 'sense' can ruin any system.
