Hey everyone,
So I finally installed ubuntu on my hard drive. But, I have a problem: It makes a new partition each time I update the software or add software from the download center. Why is it doing this and, more importantly, how can I fix it?

Cheers,
dlucci

Welcome to the forum.

Why do you think it is installing a new partition. kernel updates will add boot entries so you can boot either the old or new kernel if that is what you are seeing.

To see your entire configuration:

Boot Info Script courtesy of forum member meierfra

Paste results.txt, then highlight entire file and click on # in edit panel(code tags) to make it easier to read.
Or You can generate the tags first by pressing the # icon in the post's menu and then paste the contents between the generated [ code][ /code] tags.
