I'm having trouble with Compiz effects on my Dell Mini 10. I have Compiz-settings-manager installed. To configure Compiz, I go to:
Appearance Preferences-Visual Effects-Extra
then
CompizConfig Settings Manager

Everything works fine.

When I restart or re-login to the computer, I have no windows borders and therefore have no control of the window size, location, max/minimize/close from the interface. To fix it, I can just go to Appearance Preferences again, but to get the effects I want I have to reconfigure Compiz each time I log in. I use other computers at my work, and this is only a problem for the Dell Mini 10 (and had not been until I upgraded to Lucid. I have not been able to find a solution in the forums. Does anyone know how to correct this? Thank you.

I should specify: it is a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 running Ubuntu 10.04

Thank you.

It works now. I needed to run
compiz --replace
That seemed to take care of it.
