Hello

I have Kubuntu 10.04 installed on my second system. I like it and I'm going to keep using it until I get the hang of it. However the one thing that really sticks out is Dolphin. I think I like it better that Nautilas?

Now I am thinking about installing it to this system (Ubuntu 10,04 64 bit)? However I don't want to install all the extra stuff that comes KDE. From what I have seen in Synaptic, the only additional files Dolphin needs are -Kfind -Libkonq5 -Libkonq5 Templets.

I have been reading around and I found this information on installing Dolphin on Ubuntu....

http://ubuntuforums.org/search.php?searchid=74945644

Do these instructions still work for Ubuntu 10.04?

Also, what if any negative outcomes should I be aware of before I install Dolphin?

Thank you for all your help.

I used Dolphin with 9.10 for a month with no problem , but didn't see any reason for two file browsers , and I was nervous about removing the default file browser being a green bean. All the dependencies were installed automatically and worked fine.
