I am using a Dell Inpirion E1405 laptop with Ubuntu 8.04 on it and I have burned 3 cds for the 10.04 64bit upgrade. The disks work until the screen with Try without installing, Install, and so on page pops up and it won't let me actually do any of them except for boot from my hard drive. Could someone please help?

Well I think the 10.04 disk is seeing the Ubuntu 8.04 install and is assuming you don't want a clean install, just the upgrade. Therefore, it is trying to do the upgrade but is unable to. This is because when you upgrade you have to go up by one version (ex. 8.04>8.10>9.04>9.10>10.04).

One of the options on that screen should be to check the CD for errors. This is a good first step. :)
