Hi Folks,

Is ubuntu a good choice of linux for using on a laptop. Is there a power management feature as well as good connectivity features for wifi or 3g etc?

I'm using Netbook Remix on my netbook which is great, but my other PC is a big laptop and there doesn't seem to be much info about running the desktop version on a laptop.

Help and advice is much appreciated,
nictu

In theory yes, there is however currently severe bugs regarding power management. A lot of users experience problems with their laptops waking up from suspend and hibernate.

I run 10.04 netmix on a dell mini and 10.04 regular on my full size laptop and they both work great. Haven't had any real problems at all so far.
