I know how to change most of my privacy settings, but I don't know how to change the settings of my "public search listing". Currently it shows too much information. How would I make the search listing show less information about me? Thanks

Take a look at the info at:

http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=764

"Your public search listing includes basic information that is always open to everyone (your name, profile picture, gender and networks)."

Yuck.

I have seen profiles that do not have all of the basic information showing, I just don't know how to do it.

This is someone else who has the same (if not more) information as my profile:

I figured it out. I was overlooking the link. If you go on face book to your privacy settings, there is a section that says basic directory information. Go there and you can edit this info.
