Most laptops can't handle the L4D2 graphics. Mine couldn't even handle the menu.

Laptops are really not appropriate computers for playing games on (except for Solitaire). If you want to play graphically-intensive games you should use a desktop PC, they have much better performance. Those $4000 so-called "gaming notebooks" have inferior performance to a mid-range desktop PC and that's the way it will stay as long as the laws of physics are in effect.

Definitely not recommended though.

total Video Memory is not the same as dedicated memory (what the game sees.)

Spec fail.

Most laptops are not meant for modern gaming. Be prepared to spend a lot of money on a gaming laptop.

I still don't know what kind of graphics card you have (sounds integrated) but it probably doesn't really matter that much as that CPU won't be able to handle that much anyway.

That's simple. First off, you don't have a Pentium D, it's a Pentium Dual-Core. Big difference.

Your integrated Intel graphics chipset offloads some of its work to the CPU, and in your case, your Pentium Dual-Core isn't as powerful as your friend's CPU, so performance suffers.

Get yourself an xbox mate you'll save yourself alot of hassle faffing around with intensive games and laptops. Can I ask where and how you got your Cisco qualification?:-)
