I downloaded peppermintos as a replacement for ubuntu on my laptop. Now i can't burn it to a dvd. I'm using GnomeBaker and I get ":-( /dev/sr0: media is not recognized as recordable DVD: 0". Is there a way to fix this, or even better, a way to run the iso straight from the hard drive.

You could use unetbootin (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/).

I tried using unetbootin, but I couldn't make it work. Anyone able to explain it for me.

What wouldn't work? Did it give you an error and are you writing at a slow speed? Writing at a slow speed usually helps most problems,
