If you have an account at addons.mozilla.org (https://addons.mozilla.org), which is used among other things to download experimental extensions, then you need to login at least once to keep your account. Mozilla is making some changes in the site and will soon start to delete inactive accounts to improve the site performance. They expect to reduce the number of accounts from 4.5 million to 800.000.

In the next few weeks we plan to delete any accounts that have not logged in since April 2009 who don’t have any add-ons, collections, or reviews associated with them. This will reduce our 4.5 million accounts to a more manageable 800,000.

Additionally, they will make some changes on the user names and login info. Read more at http://blog.mozilla.com/addons/2010/07/26/upcoming-changes-to-amo-accounts/
