Hello San Diegans-

Finally fed up with windows and wanting to switch to Ubuntu. I am looking for someone who is a linux/ubuntu specialist in the San Diego area to help me. I can pay, but not much.

I just need to make sure the process goes smoothly because I have important files. I need to be able to edit video on ubuntu, because I am a film maker. I know this is possible and I have heard of a couple different applications that can do this using ubuntu.

Basically I am starting at square one and I appreciate any help.

Gabriel

i'm in San Jose, so can't help there, but wondered how your install has gone.

I can help you with this. there's a media version of ubuntu you may want to install, it specializes in video and audio editing.

it shall be free of charge if i drive less than 15 miles total (both ways combined) or 20 cents a mile retroactively if further.

live ~around~ lemon avenue / mt. helix (la mesa 91941), approx 8 miles east of qualcomm stadium, half mile south of el cajon.

The thread is from a few months ago and the OP hasn't been back since they posted the thread.

With that in mind, I'm going to close it.
