OK, so I'm very new to linux but I wanna do something:

I wanna make my own distro of Linux. I have a few ideas but I would want you guys to PM me and we can talk. I basically want someone who is an experienced user in using linux who could help me made and distribute my own distro and help people solve problems on the forum of our site that I would make. I want someone who would work with me in developing something new(I have an idea kinda blurry but its here haha) we could work together in making something new, but the same as the others... Anyone wanna help and we can be part of the Linux Revolution?

There are enough distro's already.
Besides, do you think people with the experience you are talking about are willing to help you, while you have none what so ever?

Recurring...

Editing is 'too late'.
If you want to make a distro, convenient for you and your friends, you can always use remastersys, and call that your own distro. :)

It's kinda cold, but he's got a point; what will make your magnificent distro so special?

P.S.: I'll also recommend remastersys. It's the easiest way to 'make your own distro'.

If I had my own OS it would be called the Goolies.

But that'd sound like a virus, or a rampant STD.

Perhaps rather than doing something like creating your own distro (which is somewhat easier and much less exciting than you think it is), you could install Arch ('http://www.archlinux.org/') (easy). Or Gentoo ('http://www.gentoo.org') (harder). Or Linux From Scratch ('http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/') (God Mode). If you're a hobbyist, and you like messing around and tweaking things to your needs, these are much more interesting and productive projects. :P

Seeing as you say you are new to Linux I'd recommend Arch first.

All of the distros I recommended above are to varying degrees 'from scratch' distributions, Arch letting you set your system up with precompiled packages and with an aim at being minimalist is the easiest and fastest, and you'll learn a bit from that; Gentoo offering a very minimal base to work with, but all packages and software usually being compiled from that point. You can get the source for many things easily using it's Portage package manager, though the compilation can take some time for some things; and Linux From Scratch basically requires you to compile *everything* from scratch, from beginning to end; and even then it's not really a full system; you have to put a lot of work into it, and it takes a very long time.

Arch has an install guide for beginners here. ('http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners%27_Guide') If you follow it closely, and skim it once or twice before starting, you shouldn't have too many problems.

Good luck, and enjoy Linux! ;)
