Hi
This morning I updated kernel from 2.6.32-23 to 2.6.32-24 with synaptic and now cannot access ubuntu. I have been trying all day to solve the problem but nothing has helped. After updating and restarting I could no longer access ubuntu. I can see the grub menu and both kernels I have tried to start from both but cannot access ubuntu. Which ever one I select I can access my login start page select user (which is me only) and enter password. Once I've entered my password the screen goes dark with writing on the top left hand corner and goes back to the login page really quickly. I dual boot windows vista which I rarely use. I can access windows without issues.
Before the update everything was working normally.
Any ideas?
