Seems kinda unlikely to me.

I'd rather concentrate on more pressing matters that affect us down here on Earth.

Anything is possible. It would be great to find out that they use Linux.

Its possible that they would use Linux... they might have come here just hoping to find better software.

yeah ok.

If there is a cover-up, all someone needs to do is get a high powered telescope with a resolution high enough to view building sized objects on the moon with good resolution, point it at the moon and explore the surface. The technology needed to find such a thing exists outside of NASA. The fact that it is likely that an independent astronomer would have found this by now without any help from NASA indicates to me that this is false information.

You would probably be better off persuing something real, like the coastline visible in the Penglai island mirage:

http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/photo/2006-05/08/content_583947.htm

As far as I know, no one has ever found it.

That is no mirage... that is what happens when a temporal rift happens and the boundary between time strands is rendered temporarily transparent.

Well, Taiwan is across the sea from Penglai, so logically, the coastline would belong to Taiwan, but looking in Google Maps, I cannot find any significant quantity of buildings on its coast facing China. It is all farmland.

Anyway, the Chinese believe that the Penglai mirage is of the island where the fountain of youth is located. News of the fountain of youth was brought back to Europe by Macro Polo. Then a few centuries later, people set out to go to the East Indies (i.e. India) thinking that among other things, the fountain of youth was there, even though it was in China. Then they landed in the Americas and people thought that they were in the East Indies, and among other things, they started to look for the fountain of youth, even though they were roughly 6,000 miles away from it.

Edit: I was wrong. It seems that it is in Yantai in the Shandong province:

Let's get real. Men were on the moon 1n 1969. That's 41 years ago.

Of COURSE there's buildings on it! There is at LEAST one Walmart and 2 McDonalds, if not a KFC.

Similar oddities were also depicted on Mars. The Moon oddities are not on the earth facing side and therefore, earthbound telescopes will never see them....*IF* this is true, we will never find out about these anomalies until such a time when going into space is no longer a government controlled thing and civilians commercialize such travel.....at that point, there will be no hiding or plausibly denying such things by the governments of the world......

I don't believe we are alone in he universe, However, positive proof of life elsewhere is decade if not centuries away from being divulged to the general public. Ex-president Ronald Reagan almost succeeded at getting somethings public, but was silenced before he could do anything

Cute.

My favorite one was when one of my brother's friends tried to convince me that the moon was man-made.

His proof of this was that we always see the same side of the moon, therefore it must have been created by humans in the past. By the same humans that, according to him, saw to the building of the Pyramids and that have been hiding technology and whatnot for us for the last ~6k years.

He was dead serious, too.

Who else has one? This thread is fun.

Coast to Coast am is great show if you like to listen to people discuss strange topics. There are still many that believe the face on mars is man made, despite evidence to the contrary.

Its actually kinda fun looking into this stuff. I suppose this is a picture of some of these buildings. I wonder if what he says is true about human nature, how the authorities of government would be shaken if any of it was revealed as true.

The original photographs of the moon and other planets were just that, film photographs. The picture was taken, the film was developed, scanned and then transmitted to earth. Problems happened when the camera is 250,000 miles away and you can't retake or re-develop the picture.

(Actually I am just part of the cover-up)

The video said the structures are on the far side of the moon. Kind of like these UFO pictures that are a blurry shot of a dinner plate someone turned into a Frisbee.

Actually you can't see the dark side of the moon with a telescope. The moon doesn't spin on itself like the earth does, the same face is always looking at us.

(For details.. it does spin, but it's the same speed as it's orbit around us, kinda like spinning a bucket around you, you'll always see the same side)

Yeah this sounds like a great idea. With all the problems we have here on earth what would make anyone think it can get any better living on the moon.

I'll start saving up some money to build my settlement on the moon. It will be so much better -.-

great stuff, keep it coming, i just can't get enough of it.

if it was 100% fact many will dismiss it anyway because pictures aren't proof, sometimes seeing things directly in front of us with our own eyes isn't convincing enough.

besides look at the huge impact it'll cause, folks will panic, it will be madness and mayhem.

Would they? We see it Hollywood films, but somehow I don't think that will really happen.

Anyway, if there were aliens-from-space around us, I reckon they'd view us more as we view ants. Interesting creatures to study, but awfully primitive, and not worth trying to communicate with.

sdowney717
July 25th, 2010, 01:05 PM
if as ants, then likely not to care much if alive or dead, sort of like what Hawking is saying about advertising that we are here, so come on in and take over.
Personally dont believe there are aliens like us out there, but I do believe in extraterrestrial life of a more spiritual and higher natural order both good and bad, And who knows how physical they will decide to get.

NCLI
July 25th, 2010, 01:19 PM
All of these pictures are incredibly eas to fake, I think I'll wait for some better proof before believing that some alien species thought living on a small lump of rock would be fun xD

I do think theres a much bigger chance of extraterrestrial life than some dude with a beard and a snake which was an angel and turned into a dragon or whatever it is most of the crazies believe over in the US.

sdowney717
July 25th, 2010, 01:36 PM
moon could have been an earth observation and staging area for aliens.
Not that I believe it.
Stephen Hawking thinks aliens are out there and would destroy the earth, striping it of resources and life if they knew it was here. Sort of sounds like some movies I have seen.

I think they already know about us.

I watched this the other day that's kind of on par with this thread.

TED Talks:

Astronomer Dimitar Sasselov and his colleagues search for Earth-like planets that may, someday, help us answer centuries-old questions about the origin and existence of biological life elsewhere (and on Earth). There are probably 10,000,000 Earth-like planets in our galaxy.

Dimitar Sasselov: How we found hundreds of Earth-like planets (http://www.ted.com/talks/dimitar_sasselov_how_we_found_hundreds_of_earth_li ke_planets.html?)

I found it pretty interesting. Even tho Dimitar Sasselov is boring to listen to.

laugh all you like, lunatics..

but there really are buildings/structures on the moon. ;)

You will know it yourself, one day.

[Yes, I am serious]. lol

You all, or many folks.. like to call it "crazy" or whatever else,
simply because they can't wrap their heads around such a reality...
but the reality is.. and all I can say is...
if you only knew........

We know there are aliens on earth. I've seen it on TV so it must be true. Torchwood (http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood/)

Seriously. If I wanted to search Mars (which I do), I wouldn't waste money and resources sending people there. Robots can do the job more reliably and hugely cheaper and safer. Why on earth would aliens spend years physically travelling here when they could send robots?

They would not travel that way it would only take them minutes to arrive here.
