I want to patent the use of the letters A W E R L and Y combined in the following manner - lawyer - and is used for the purpose of advertising legal services.

Which side of the trial was Kappos on?The side that said, no a process isn't a patent.

It started with in re Bilski (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Re_Bilski) where Bilski which ended with Bilski being told they're process wasn't patentable. They appealed which then brought up the aforementioned Bilski v. Kappos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilski_v._Kappos)

Newest one is somebody is claiming to have a valid patent for spam mail filtering. The patent reads something like:

"I has da idear thut youse kould check da mail and sees if'n it's spam. If'n it do, den stop it sumhow."

No code, no procedure, no flowchart, no variable names, no header discussion, nothing. And lots of spelling mistakes.

He's suing everybody but God, simply because God hasn't been located yet.

That was a good laugh, until I Googled it, and found out it's actually true! :shock:
