So the title pretty much says the problem I'm having. Anytime I launch a terminal or nautilus my iowait spikes to the point where my system is unusable for anywhere from 90 - 120 seconds. Running sudo iotop -o populates nothing while this is occurring.
On a separate but potentially unrelated note, I also get a DBUS timeout error anytime I try to mount a Windows share through smb.
