Hello all,

I'm trying to setup a nas system which will have a small 4GB compact flash card for the OS via an IDE adapter and a HDD raid for the data itself.

During the installation of Lucid, it doesn't appear to detect the ide device and some research points to the ide-generic module being removed a few versions ago (most of the information I found was for Karmic).

is there any way to make this module available during the installation?

any ideas are much appreciated.

just an interesting update is that the latest version of debian does seem to include the necessary drivers and i can see my compact flash card without any problems.
any way we can make this happen in lucid?
