what is the correct settings for the beam up animation.
i've messed around with the settings but i cant get it to beam up.
default settings don't work.

i looks more like a shine fading (weird) all the other animations work.

If you are writing about cairo-dock check out Spot in Animated Icons.

I believe it's compiz. Can you take a screenshot of what your's is doing. You might have to try a couple of times to catch it

Well, yeah, it does look kind of like a shine. That's just the way it is.
If you recall from Star-Trek there's this "shiny aura" or whatever during a beaming process. This can't be duplicated perfectly via compiz though. Perhaps "fading light" might have been a better name for that ??? You have to keep in mind that the developers of such toys have their own interpretations, thoughts, and ideas for naming things.

No, it doesn't actually look like the window is being beamed up or down ... but if it did, then it would take way too long ... several seconds to make the effect appear realistic. Most people want their windows to open, close, minimize and so on quickly though. Speed is what it's all about and that's why the start-trek beam is more like a fast fading shiny glow than an actual "Beam me up, Scotty" :D

I love it though and use it for minimizing/maximizing my windows.
