http://releases.ubuntu.com/lucid/
That page has two versions for a netbook. I am running 10.04 Ubuntu Netbook Remix.
Is there much of a difference at all?

The difference is the architectures supported. Unless you have an Marvel Dove or Freescale i.MX51 processor, I would recommend sticking with the Intel i386 release (for Atom, Celeron, etc).
