Hi,

I have an MS bluetooth keyboard which I can get connected fine, however after reboot the keyboard is always disconnected. If I login with a USB keyboard, click the bluetooth icon in the system tray, and tell it to connect it does so and is fine from then on.

How can I get the keyboard to connect automatically before I login?

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04.

I have found various posts similar to this e.g.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=195337 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=195337)
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1019988 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1019988)
but haven't managed to solve the problem (these refer to files in etc/default/bluetooth which doesn't seem to exist, i can see the default folder but nothing inside called bluetooth)

There is bluetooth folder in etc and I've browsed the files in there with no joy.

I am very new to Ubuntu & Linux.

The keyboard works just fine in Win7 (currently running a dual boot).

Regards

George

Hi,

Is this the correct place for me to ask this question? Is there anywhere else anyone can recommend I look for help with this?

Thanks

George
