I updated to python 3.1 yesterday and my all the plugins I had installed in gedit weren't working.
I checked Edit->Preferences->Plugins, and all plugins were disabled!

When I run gedit from terminal, i get the following error message:

$ gedit

** (gedit:7220): WARNING **: Error initializing Python interpreter: could not import pygobject.

** (gedit:7220): WARNING **: Please check the installation of all the Python related packages required by gedit and try again.

** (gedit:7220): WARNING **: Cannot load python plugin Python 'Gedit LaTeX Plugin 0.2 rc3' since gedit wasnot able to initialize the Python interpreter.

** (gedit:7220): WARNING **: Error loading plugin 'Gedit LaTeX Plugin 0.2 rc3'

Please help.
