Just wondering what ubuntu programs your 10-12yo kids like using? Things other than straight games are of specific interest.

Another thought - stopmotion

You can make little stop motion animation films with your lego men

My son is 8 now, but he's very interested in using the computer. Right now, though, most of his thing are Flash games.

My daughter, who is 10, doesn't do much on the computer but she is fooling around with Tux Paint and OpenOffice writer do doing up stories and the like. I really need to sit down with her and work with her on some project so she's more familiar.

Hi again. Is there any new cool additions to the list people can think of.

It dosn't have to be total kids play either so long as its fun, cool etc but not "games" as such.
