You guys forgot about the computer down in the corner running Windows.

Here is one with both Lucid and Hardy (Hardy in the corner, Lucid on the main display) and with a Powered by Ubuntu sticker on the computer.

Also, if you guys are up for a challenge, you could try this on for size:

http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/presskits/windows7/images/10-22ballmerwin7_web.jpg

Several things to get right:

All the computer screens are slightly cut off. You'll have to work around that.

There is a strong reflection on the touch-screen monitor, keep it in tact.

Maybe change the Acer, Toshiba, and Vaio to System76, Zareason, and Dell...

Lmao, so you use Hardy Heron and the orange/brown!? Haven't we moved on from that yet? (lol, it's fine, Intrepid had a pretty sick wallpaper and felt very 'human'- I'm not entirely against the old color pallette)

I think this just shows that GIMP is more than adequate for what most people use graphics manipulation software for- dinking around. XD (but seriously, GIMP is superb and I use it in all of my professional work)

I kerlafft.

orange/brown!? Haven't we moved on from that yet?Yes we have
Flamewars aside, at these resolutions, we've moved on to something that's indistinguishable from the standard mac background

Gimp the Lucid background on, then post it to Digg (or similar site) and you'd have most people thinking this was OS-X pasted on the screen

Pre-Lucid, we had a unique and distinguishable colour scheme

But hey
Progress....

Ballmer doesn't need to run Ubuntu, he got rid of Ubuntu for our sins!

Here's my first try with that other image. Steve looks pretty happy to be presenting the new Ubuntu 10.04. Must be a guest presenter or something. ;)

I didn't change the laptop logos, I might do that later if I find the time...

@Legendary_Bibo - The Ubuntu halo was a nice touch... :)

Wow, that is impressive! I wish I knew how to use a program to achieve those images.

I found a video where Steve Ballmer was getting egged. I don't know software that can take a video and export it as several images by its frames so I had to go into Pitivi, cut a selection. Save it, then play that video in VLC and did several print screens and took that into Gimp and this is what resulted. I meant to draw the guy throwing an Ubuntu logo at Balmer, heh oh well.

It's actually easy. There's a perspective tool where you just grab the corners and then move them around until it looks like it's at an angle.
