I recently tried the Menuet os (http://www.menuetos.net/)and it's fork kolibri (http://www.kolibrios.org/) os . It is wonderful that these operating systems with a good enough GUI can less than 2MB . The menuetos's window decorator supports transparency !!!!. Not just that , a lot of applications are included in this 2 MB .
The system boots in 1or 2 seconds. That's the coolest thing
For those who don't know , Menuet os (http://www.menuetos.net/)and kolibri (http://www.kolibrios.org/) os are operating systems created in assembly language other than"c" . So the size can be made small ,though I didn't think it can be this much smaller
Here's link to a screenshot of menuet http://www.menuetos.net/086c.png and http://www.menuetos.net/sc002.png
Here's that of kolibri http://www.kolibrios.org/i/0.7.7.0/01.png
