Hi. I was hoping someone here could help with my problem.
I recently installed Ubuntu 10.04 with Wubi, running XP Pro. The computer froze during the installation of updates through the update manager so I had to shut it down by holding the power button. Upon rebooting and selecting Ubunutu, a few lines of text flash by saying "no wubildr" and then "no such device: ubuntu/disks/root.disk" after which it takes me to a screen that says:
GNU GRUB version 1.98-1ubuntu5
Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions.
grub>_
It should be noted that I do not have a Live-CD, which appears to be the way most similar problems on this forum have been solved.
Thank you,
Mike
