Hi everyone,

I've got an HP 2710p tablet and I can't seem to get the screen rotation working.

I've downloaded Magick Rotation 0.4 and and followed the instructions but the log simply says:

2010-07-17 10:47:04: hp-wmi file check failed. Trying again
Looking in the script I found:

# tablet/normal state files from hp_wmi
state_hp_wmi="/sys/devices/platform/hp-wmi/dock"
state_hp_wmi_patched="/sys/devices/platform/hp-wmi/tablet"I looked for those files and I couldn't find them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

I don't know anything definite about hp tablets, but Favux has a few guides on setting up tablets. You should look at some of his posts if you haven't already.

If your tablet uses a Wacom or N-Trig digitizer, then you shouldn't have too much trouble getting it to work.

Whoops...I added hp-wmi to /etc/modules and rebooted....:P

but a different problem has now popped up...it won't switch from tablet back to normal...
