Good Hosting site?

I was thinking buy hosting from JustHost, but I came up on those problematic guidelines...



*Offering video and/or audio streaming or downloads, MP3 Files, Games and shareware is also not permitted on any Just Host server.

*Hosting space is intended for normal use only, and is limited to Web files, active e-mail and content of the hosted Web sites, not for storage (whether of media, e-mails, or other data). Hosting space further may not be used as offsite storage of electronic files, electronic mail or FTP hosts.

I plan to make a site for Android development. I plan to upload on there podcast audio files (which I intend to stream and allow for download). I also might use site to host any Android apps built by me (betas, for people to test before uploading to Google Market).

Does anyone know some good hosting site which will not have problem with this? All those files will be legal, made by me.

I found dreamhost too slow for my liking. I myself rent out/colocate servers at colo4dallas & theplanet datacenters, and their really good. However, since your not going to get a huge dedicated server to host your site, I would reccoment a host such as hostgator, or siteground. The thing is, the location of where their hosting from can make a big difference, especially when speed is lost because of network connectivity. Additionally, smaller/not as sucessful hosts will not likely have money to host in larger datacenters. The solution is to run a traceroute on one of the sites the host is hosting at the moment, and determine where its leading. If it leads to one of the larger datacenters (i.e. savvis (not likely tho), theplanet, .etc .etc), you Can be pretty sure the guys mean business. Additionally, the connection through the traceroute should run through multiple premium bandwidth providers (i.e. level3, internap (pmap), cogent) if you want to get very little network latency. You can find some awesome webhosting deals at webhostingtalk.com as well. theirs a lot of summer specials going on, but be careful not to get scammed.

Personally, I'm loving 000Webhost (http://www.000webhost.com/). It offers a lot of features including 1.5GB of WebSpace, and 100GB bandwidth, all for free. Have a look and see if it suits.

I'm on fivebean. Its ran by one of the ubuntu admins here and seems to be the best value I've found anywhere on hosting.

I've been using Beyond Hosting (https://beyondhosting.net/portal/aff.php?aff=013) for a while now, and loved the service.

They have every functionality you could expect from a good web host, fast servers, and amazingly fast support response times (if you submit during their normal business hours, but even if you submit it at night, they get right on it in the morning.

I really like to emphasize that they give amazing support. When you are getting support, you're talking directly with the administrator of your server, not a customer service representative, so if it's a problem they need to fix, they can get right on it, rather than reporting it to someone else.

I use 000webhost for anything I may personally want to host however I have no real reason to host a site anymore due to lack of motivation and such.

I used byethost (http://www.byethost.com/) for my university project a while back and was quite happy with the service. Also the support was very good and the staff / community seemed friendly.

If I were you I'd go for the paid hosting because the free servers seem to be up and down a lot. The uptime for the paid hosting was great and it was fine for what I wanted to do which was run a couple of PHP applications.

Holy ****. My YEAR of hosting costs me $12.25 a couple months ago. With the buyout, a year of the cheapest hosting would run like $60. Gotta love the 500% markup. Guess I'll be leaving as soon as my year runs out...

Transfer rates are insanely fast. I'm seeing 6down/2up from mine.
