Is there ANY way of using a rythmbox visualization (eg. monoscope) to show visualizations using an external source (eg. a Mic) as the input? It doesn't have to be a rythmbox plugin either, they are just the only ones that i know of...

Click "Download for Linux". You might have to compile from source: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CompilingEasyHowTo


-This thread should tell you how to connect your line in as an "output" in pulseaudio - I think you might need to do this in order to get the visualization to work properly. You might be able to selectively mute it later.
