Me and few other people use SVN to share some code.

All of them use Windows and TortoiseSVN as a revision control software.

What can I use?

(PS. I never used SVN before... so I am not sure if Ubuntu already have something which can work with it?)

RabbitVCS (http://wiki.rabbitvcs.org/wiki/install/ubuntu) feels almost the same as TortoiseSVN.

Also try esvn. Is not like Tortoise, but is an easy interface.

And there's KDESVN which is quite nice.

Yes it is. In fact is what I use. But I'm not sure if will need many dependencies for Gnome users.

There's also plain-jane svn that you can use. I prefer that. At least for simpler stuff, like adding, removing, updating, auto-merging, etc.
