View Full Version : [ubuntu] Cannot install Ubuntu 10.04 on Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook T3010

I haveI tried to install Ubuntu 10.04 to my Lifebook T3010 and failed. The last step was ubuntu splash and after that just blank screen. Any one knows the solution ?

Can you install Ubuntu 9.10?
www.releases.ubuntu.com

Have you tried a memory test? This could take long - you might want to let it run overnight.

Hi, I looked up your notebook's hardware spec and found that it might be using the Intel 855 GM graphic chip, which is similar as mine. The situation you described looks like mine too. So maybe you can refer to my thread of a similar problem:

I'm still trying to solve it though, so I can't say if the methods mentioned work or not:P

Then again, there must be a million computers out there using this graphic chip, so maybe it is better to make a new release that supports it?:)
