Hi,

In order to migrate a workstation from gnome to kde I installed kde-full.
Now it came with lots of unwanted packages, such as games and others.
Uninstalling the games package was not allowed, as kde-full apparently depended on them.

Now after I ignored dependencies, I can't install anything, as every time I want to install, apt-get wants to uninstall kde-full first.

There must be a way to have working system by installing just one package and not having to select thousands of packages one by one. This just does not make any sense.

You could have installed 'kdebase' instead.

Well, kde-full, kde, kde-minimal and kde-base are all such ways, unless I am missing something.

I have installed kde-base initially, but it has not produced a working kde environment. There was no kwm for example.
