i know this has happened a lot but anything else that i read hasn't been much help. maybe i'm doing something wrong. but i had turned my computer off yesterday morning for maybe an hour or so and then i turn it back on and i get that message. well first it says it's doing a system check but it never goes over 5%. then it takes me to the mount of filesystem failed. when i hit CTRL-D it either takes me back to the system check where again it won't go over 5%, or i get the same error message. i tried fsck multiple times and all it asks is if i want to ignore and rewrite the error. i hit Y and the same message keeps popping up. i don't know what to do! sorry if this was long... but i'm not too great with computers and i hope you can help!!

boot in verbose mode:

- into grub menu (if hidden: hold "shift" key down at end of bios process to see it), choose the second line named "recovery"

and look at errors when booting (red)
