View Full Version : [ubuntu] Added Backgrounds Missing in Appearance Preferences After Reboot

I have stored many of my favorite backgrounds in /usr/share/backgrounds.

Then I "added" them via System>Preferences>Appearance>Background>Add.

I can see them all when I add them. I can select whichever one I want. However, when I reboot the system, the only newly added background available in Appearance is the most recently *selected* background. None of my other added backgrounds show up among those there. I have verified they are in /usr/share/backgrounds.

What do I need to do to make the backgrounds I store in /usr/share/backgrounds (they are all jpg files) persistently available in the Appearance selection?

Thanks!
