I'm trying to install Ubuntu 10.4 on a Foxconn NT330i, an Ion based Atom for an HTPC without a DVD drive. I downloaded the netbook ISO of Ubuntu 10.4, created a bootable USB stick using the "Show me how" button here (http://www.ubuntu.com/netbook/get-ubuntu/download) and booted from USB. The LiveCD launcher dealie comes up, and if I choose to launch Ubuntu or install to the hard drive, it freezes here:

(Sorry for the picture, no idea how to copy that text when I can't get an OS to open)

Where can I go from here?

Edit: Changed img to a link. That was awful!

Try unetbootin I haven't had much success with the loader in the link.
http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

So download the regular UNR ISO and install it to the thumb and try it out before using. Also adjust your windows size from it's disc manager.

You left out some key information here as well do you want a true dual boot or a wubi which is Ubuntu inside of Windows. Or do you have a windows install at all.

I was planning on deleting my Windows partition and just installing Ubuntu. I only mentioned trying to run from the USB drive because it was the same error.

I used pendrivelinux.com's USB bootable installer creator. I don't think there's a problem with the bootable USB drive itself but I'll try UNetbootin tonight. Something is obviously wrong.

I also downloaded the regular desktop ISO in addition to the netbook one. I'll try the desktop one. I guessed the netbook ISO would probably have less bloat and be better suited, but I can work with either.
