View Full Version : [gnome] Fullscreen Issues

July 13th, 2010, 06:00 AM
Hi everyone i've been having this issues for a long time now. I either haven't cared or have really stopped using ubuntu all together and reverted back to windows.

I have an issue with ubuntu 10.04 using a custom built PC

Whenever anything goes full screen in ubuntu it turns darker than normal. This happens with flash videos, normal movies, and i also have a transparent desktop cube with compiz and even when i look through from one wall to another its much much darker. I have a fresh install of ubuntu 10.04 and i'm using the propriety driver for ATI/AMD Proprietary FGLRX graphic driver for my Asus EAH4850. The default driver i had for ubuntu didn't work well with my displays, both of them went over the edge's of the screen and didn't look as clean as this propriety driver (although i never tested the old driver to see if i could use full screen normally or not)

Thanks for all of your help!!
