Good day!

I was trying to install Ubuntu 10.04 on my Sony VAIO Laptop, for the full specs, it's here (http://www.sony-mea.com/product/vpccw26fa/sku/vpccw26fa_w+uae). I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, I downloaded the latest version of Wubi. I copied the Wubi executable to the directory where I downloaded the ISO file of Ubuntu 10.04 (32-bit). Everything went fine, I was able to install it properly. Then I after restarting my computer and selecting Ubuntu on the Boot Menu, the only thing that I can see is just a blank screen. I tried hard rebooting a lot of times and still, nothing happens.

Do you guys have an idea on what is the possible solution to the "blank screen" issue that I'm experiencing?

Just to confirm are you attempting a dual boot with Windows 7 or a Wubi installation?

please use the wubi that is inside the ISO. Mount your ubuntu iso then you will see a wubi.exe inside the iso. then use this wubi or copy the wubi inside the iso and paste it in same place as the iso.

Hope that will work. :D
