I just installed Ubuntu 10 for netbooks. I want to change the panel on top, but I can't seem to do anything with it. I right click one of the little buttons, and the 'remove" option is grayed out. On Ubuntu 8, you had to right click a blank space and select "properties", but there is no blank space on this panel so I can't do that. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Also, sorry if this has been asked before. I couldn't find it....

the panel is locked in 10.04.
what we do is log out & select "gnome" in the session menu.
in gnome you need to add "netbook-launcher" & "maximus" to the startup.
delete the bottom panel, on the top panel remove the menu bar, add the go home applet & window picker applet.

you should now have the netbook look again & be able to do what ever you want panel wise.

i'm just now doing mine, i installed about 10 min a go.
