I just took a routine update tonight 7/10/10 to Ubuntu 10.04. It never has been a problem before, but all my data has been lost, including Internet browser history, bookmarks, documents, files, etc. Is there a way to get back to system status pre-update? I feel very uncomfortable about using Ubuntu without a way to get back to normal.
