My computer runs Vista and Ubuntu, which I installed with Wubi over a year ago. So far, this has worked really well, but I know that there's a slight performance loss in Ubuntu when not running it in a separate partition. I've wanted to reinstall it like this for awhile but have always been fearful of wiping out Windows. I finally worked up the nerve to try it, but when I got to the partitioning section of the installer, I didn't see any "free space", as is usually present in the installation tutorials I've seen. And I know that there is still plenty of space left on my hard drive.
Anyone know the best way to allocate this "free space"?
