Hi all,
I have a packard bell dot m. Ubuntu 9.10 worked perfect but I decided
to upgrade to 10.04. After that I found two big problems (maybe both
symptoms refers to the same problem).
1) After a while using some programs (i.e. firefox, google chrome, etc.),
the fonts change to strage symbols (like boxes) and so it is impossible
to continue working. (see the first attached image)
2) Another thing is that some parts of the screen show
a bad rendering and the mouse icon changes to a big box icon (this
is not shown in the images). (see the second attached image)
It is really weird and I do not know how to search this problem in
internet. I have tried with many keys unsuccessfully.
I think that the problem is related to the video card ATI X1200.
Could anybody help me or guide me where can be the problem?
