I have been installing Ubuntu 10.04 on my customers computers in leu of windows and have had extremely good feedback from it. However, this one has me buffaloed for the moment. This is a new build. the motherboard is a Gigabyte GA MA 185GM -US2h. It has an AMD chipset, ATI video as expected. The processor ia a phenom 9155e. All attempts to install ubunto 10.4 have resulted in freezing up during the beginning of the install process. I have used three newly burnt CD's and have tried installing from a flash drive. I get the same results each time. I have had no problems using the Asus boards with the same chip set and processor.
Pleas give me a direction to try.
