I have been using Avant for some time and now all of a sudden my icon for Firefox disappeared and trying to add it to the launcher gives me nothing. It shows up in the Avant manger list of launchers except it is not on my desktop. I have tried uninstalling Avant and then re-installing it to no avail, any ideas about what is going on here? This is occurring in Hardy 8.04.

I have tried SimDock as a possible replacement but don't find it very satisfactory. Any ideas about another dock management program like these two?

GLX-Dock (http://www.glx-dock.org/ww_page.php?p=From%20the%20repository&lang=en)

by the way 8.04 is quite old now, maybe upgrading would solve it.

I went with Cairo Dock or GLX-Dock, seems to be a bit more configurable than my other ones. Thanks.
