Howdy all -

I'm trying to delete Ubuntu from my desktop machine so I can start over with a fresh slate. However, I can't figure out how to get it to do so.

Pertinent info:
This is primarily a Windows XPsp2 machine. I do not wish to delete windows.
Ubuntu 10.04 is currently installed as an alternate OS, and not within windows.
I have 2 copies of the .iso to load from disk, which i do know how to do.

ANY help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nib

Greetings,

I researched your predicament. Have a look here:

There's really no need to delete Ubuntu if you want to reinstall it. Boot from the LiveCD, run the installer; when the partitioner comes up, choose manual partitioning, and point it to the partition with your current install, then have it format the partition. This will destroy all current data there, so be sure to back up anything you wish to save.
