Hey All,
I am having some trouble on my Drupal site with fatal errors regarding a Pear requirement in the /usr/shared directory. I went in through telnet into the Ubuntu Server and although Php5 and apache were installed I did not see Php or Pear as folders in the directory.
My question is that if we are running a LAMP and SAMBA, if I go ahead with sudo apt-get install php-pear, will I affect anything within the server besides having to restart the webserver? Will installing Pear do anything that could cause problems on the server with SAMBA and LAMP?
