Hi, I'm a beginner with programming and have tried some different languages. Now I want to create a program that asks me words I need to learn for my six (!!!) languages...
I was thinking of Python, even though I know C better I don't think that that will be a wise choise. But should I chose Python, or Java, or something else? I would like it to be windows, and if possible mac compatible as well so I can show my program of to my classmates. Thanks in advance!

I think that python is the easiest one for begginers, and it runs on windows, linux and mac :)

OK. I'll do that. Thanks for the confirmation!

Just want to add my vote for Python. I am an experienced programmer myself, but I am finding that Python is really simple and elegant in design and lends itself to functional or object oriented design, depending on your preference.

It also has a large userbase, and so there are lots of online examples, tutorials, and books available.
