Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today we are kicking off the Ubuntu Font BETA testing. This is a happy day!

Today all Ubuntu Members will have access to a private PPA so that they can use, test and enjoy the font.

The font is scheduled for completion 8th August and this is when we aim to open the beta to everyone.

Is it possible for me to BETA test the new font on Gentoo Linux along side the Ubuntu BETA testers, or would I be in violation of copyright law?

it's sort of interesting; is it a TrueType or bitmap font? anyway- 0 and O look similar in that, so it's not the best as it could be :/
/me will stay with Terminus probably

I think it's supposed to be more like a decorative font than a workable font. Might be just me though.

Canonical's new Ubuntu font will ensure that Ubuntu users have great typography out of the box without having to install an alternate default font.
