I got a Iomega eGo for Mac Portable HDD. It is 500gb and I had the thought of using most for data (as an HFS+ partition) and the rest for an Ubuntu 10.04 install for when I am a a computer that isn't mine.

When I went into GParted with the drive plugged in, it crashes.

I looked at the drive in the Ubuntu Disk Utitity ando found it has the Apple Partition Map on it. It also has special 100mb size partitions for FireWire, USB, and others drivers and patches.

It had about 7 of those and then the one big 500gb partition.

I would just like to resize that and create new ext4 and swap partitions in the free space.

I can't because GParted crashed.

Help!

Thanks in Advance
